The MCD Advanced Diploma in Theology (AdvDipTheol) introduces students to the basics of the Scriptures and the Christian faith, while giving opportunity for some elective study.
The Advanced Diploma in Theology is open to persons who have completed Year 12, International Baccalaureate or overseas equivalent. Probationary entry is available to mature-age (21 years or over) students without a Year 12 qualification.
The Advanced Diploma in Theology must be completed in not less than two and not more than six years.
Candidates normally attend classes on-campus. The Associate Diploma is also available online via the Theology Online program. On-campus students may study some units online.
To be awarded the AdvDipTheol, a total of 240 credit points (16 standard units) must be completed, including at least 30 points in Biblical Studies; at least 30 points in Christian Thought and History; and an extra 30 points in either or both of those fields.
