1. Final Day of Enrolments – 16th February 2012
First semester enrolments closed.
Please note that today is the closing date for first semester enrolments in 2012.
2. UFT Office Closed Friday 17 February
Please note the UFT office will be closed to all staff and students this Friday. Painters have been working around CTM over the past fortnight, and will be in the UFT office space this Friday making it unsafe for visitors or workers. Margaret and I will be working from home or elsewhere on campus, and therefore unable to attend to visitors or phone calls. We will both be available on email. We apologise for any inconvenience at this pressured time of year.
3. New Testament Greek A - Compulsory presessional class
In addition to the regular weekly classes on Mondays, there is a compulsory presessional class for this unit held from 10am to 4pm on 20 and 21 February 2012. The presessional will be held at the Centre for Theology and Ministry. During semester there is also an optional extra one-hour tutorial on Thursdays from 9am to 10am.
4. UFT Orientation Day
New students are strongly encouraged to attend the UFT Orientation Day, it is a great opportunity to meet other new students, and to learn information about student support services, welfare, worship opportunities and to meet staff.
The first semester orientation event is part of a whole afternoon and evening of activities. This takes place on Thursday 23 February 2012 and gives students a chance to see all three UFT Colleges. The timetable is as follows:
3.00-5.00pm Orientation for new students (CTM)
5.00-6.30pm Light meal for all students and chance to meet staff (JTC)
6.30-8.00pm UFT Commencement Lecture (Trinity OWL)

5. United Faculty of Theology Commencement Lecture
‘The Public Domain, the Church and Justice’
The 2012 UFT Commencement Lecture will be delivered at 6.30 pm on Thursday 23 February 2012 at Trinity College Theological School, Royal Parade, Parkville by the Revd Canon Dr Ray Cleary AM, Sambell Lecturer in Pastoral and Public Theology, Trinity College.

6. Academic Skills Workshops
First semester 2012 - Tuesdays 2pm-3.30pm beginning 28 February 2012
Centre for Theology and Ministry, room G3
The UFT offers a program of Academic Skills Workshops to enrolled students at no charge. These workshops are led by the UFT’s Academic Skills Tutor, Dr Richard Blandford. Students are also strongly encouraged to attend an orientation session in the Dalton McCaughey Library (usually held during week 1 of semester) or to make an appointment with library staff for an introduction to the library catalogue.
Please register for the workshop series with Bethany Broadstock at CTM reception (email Bethany.Broadstock@ctm.uca.edu.au or phone 9340 8890). Students are urged to attend the full program and not isolated sessions.

7. Online Students
Students enrolled in online units will receive an email from the online co-ordinator Dr David Gormley O’Brien just after the closure of enrolments on 16 February. Students will receive instructions for accessing online units and will have access to their units on the weekend prior to the start of semester (27/2). Online students should familiarise themselves with information available at https://online.mcd.edu.au
8. Evening Prayer
From week one of semester
Thursdays 5-5.30pm Evening Prayer CTM Chapel
All are welcome to join a service of evening prayer of psalms, readings and reflection in the Benedictine tradition in CTM chapel on Thursdays 5-5.30pm.
